Numbers, Letters and Wobbly Moments

Today has been about letters and numbers, a bit like Sesame Street; only there was no frog, pig or big yellow bird.  Today’s letters were “B” and “E” and numbers were 18.7 and 127.9 and 0.

The letter B represents the word Bible, the antique bible I ordered off Ebay for 99 pence arrived today.  It is, well, big and very heavy, which is why it cost me £20 in postage!  I don't think the seller was too pleased that it went for 99 pence as they usually go for between £80 and £150, guess I got lucky?  Mind you they had it as collection only and they live in the middle of nowhere.  I managed to get them to post it which was fortunate.  It is going to be just prefect for my church photography although it is going to need a bag all of its own to be carried here there and everywhere.  This will allow me to march on with my RPS distinctions project over the coming weeks, which reminds me I must book a day off work for the advisory day and book my place.  Here are a couple of snaps of said bible.

The letter E represents eyes, one of my eyes in fact, which became blood shot at work when I came over very dizzy and lightheaded.  In fact the letter E and number 18.7 are related.  I was happily shopping this morning, bouncing down the fruit juice and cooked meat aisle when everything seemed to turn upside down and the aisle started to stretch out before me.  Not the usual feeling one has when shopping so I stopped for a minute and rested against the trolley.  The feeling refused to go away so I wobbled off to find help.  Even sitting down and having a drink did not help and I felt myself getting worse.  I dismissed myself from work, well was dismissed by the boss and colleagues and made my way home where I promptly took a blood glucose reading.  This is where the 18.7 came in; it should be around 7 to 9 on a good day for me.  Not sure why my eye became blood shot but it no longer hurts and I can see ok but I have booked an eye test for next week just to be sure.  Apparently it is a subconjunctival hemorrhage which in layman’s terms is a bruised eye caused by anything as simple as sneezing.  I do not remember sneezing today but hey.

Is it only me that keeps forgetting the colour of my own eyes, muddy brown with a hint of rouge wouldn't you say?

I would like to say thank you to everyone at work for their support today and I am so sorry of letting the guys down on such a busy day.  I work with some amazing people, we are a great team and we found out today that we came 9th out of 66 stores in the league table and our team IPH is meeting target for the 4th week in a row.  I want that to be number 1 that would feel so good.  All we have to do is iron out the “rough edges” and I am sure we can do it.  Which brings me on to the last two numbers for today, 127.9 and 0.  They are very good numbers, numbers I like as they represent my shopping speed or IPH for last week and the number of complaints about my shopping.  No I did not have 127.9 complaints lol.  I am particularly happy because I have been making mistakes because I was trying to rush things.  I am now getting the process right and once I am comfortable I can start to increase my speed.  I am particularly proud as that IPH figure is over a 35 hour period which means I am being consistent too.

I have a wonderful job, no amazing and I am so happy in it, which makes me feel surprised that this simple fact appears to not go down two well with one or two people.  The idea of wanting to be an activity part of a team, do well at ones job and work hard for the company is upsetting to some is very weird.  Well thanks to a very good friend of mine I have the prefect response to those who feel sad.

"Don't let the world change your smile, change the world with your smile."  It is what I live by and will continue to do so.

I will not and never will apologise for wanting to work hard, do a good job and progress.  I am also never going to stop smiling, being bouncy or happy so get use to it.  Step up to the happy step and have some fun peeps.

Well that is my hour up for today, until the next time take care.  Besides I need to get away from all the wagging fingers lol.

Si x
