Work, work, rest and play.

Like yesterday today was very busy, colourful and so much fun.  The atmosphere was busy yet relaxed and that felt good.  I woke up so tired this morning it was difficult to get going, the mind was willing but the body was still sleeping.  I woke up as I crossed the shop door, being greeted by the music and hustle and bustle.

Today was another day of training, picking up from yesterday and in certain cases where the trainee shopper had left off.  One thing is for certain we have some very capable peeps coming onboard building on an already excellent team.  The feedback from our GOL top boss was very positive saying he liked the energy and enthusiasm of the team.  Working as part of the GOL team makes me feel so good even when things are tough.  Working in GOL has been such a good experience for me and that includes the rough and smooth, good and bad times.

I have been physically pushed to the limit working as an online shopper, the only other manual job I have done is working at an Egg Battery farm during my college days.  Yes as an IT bod I lugged heavy servers and storage are but that was once in a blue moon.  The weight is still falling of me at this rate I will be shopping in the kids section but at least the trouser leg length will be right for once!  People keep patting my tummy saying where is it going, well I cannot say lol.   My face is narrower too and the hair is holding on but patting on the head I get at work on a regular basis does not help it.

Before I finish with the subject of work I would like to extend a warm and heart felt thank you to everyone at work who has made my time there to date such an enjoyable one.  You guys are so much fun to work with, you make this chap smile, laugh and want to come in the next day to enjoy it all over again.  One day I will buy you all a drink to say thank you.

Tomorrow is the last day in my working week and is going to be a day of rest and paperwork for me once I have finished work.  Tuesday and Wednesday are going to be full on out with the camera days; I have the interiors of two churches to photograph and a GOL bowling competition to attend.  Well it is not a competition but we older GOL members are going to show the younger ones how it is done!

Before I forget here are a few photographs I took last week that I have not posted yet.  They were all taken at St Frideswide church, Frilsham West Berskhire.  It has only taken me two weeks to find this church again and that was thanks to my local sat nav guru who knows every each of the countryside surrounding Newbury.

The church was not on my RPS distinction project but given the photographs below I am thinking of including it.  I am not entirely happy with the photographs shown but it has given me some excellent ideas.

The last three are not part of my RPS project but I could not help but take them.  Sadly I only had my 16-35mm lens with me so these images have been cropped a wee bit to get the composition I wanted.

Well I am off now to catch up with Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect as they chase a sofa across the fields of prehistoric earth.  It is funny I experience the weird and surreal during the day only to read about similar happenings during the night lol.  I have said it before but I so wish I could photograph my work place, it is such a vibrant and exciting subject.

Until next take care and if you cannot behave misbehave and enjoy it.
