Back to work - yipee

First day back at work after a week off and it felt good to be back in the mix.  It was surprising how rusty a week off can make one feel so it was slowly but surely.  More importantly it was a lot off fun too and enjoyed a good laugh with friends throughout the morning.  I think it is important to enjoy yourself at work as you can spend a large part of your day there.

What made today good was the warm welcome I received from peeps to, it is nice to be so warmly welcomed back.  It was also nice to work in such a relaxing atmosphere to, no tension, no bullying or backbiting, just people wanting to do the best they can as part of team.  It is a very good team too working well together and helping each other out, well today it was.

I was feeling a little timid going in as I was wearing the new glasses and was unsure how I would get on.  I was wearing my distance pair and forgot my reading glasses but as it turned out I had nothing to worry about.  Whilst I could no longer hold the scanning gun as close as before everything else was just perfect.  In fact I found it easier to see and shop and once the headaches die down it should be good times ahead.

I do wish work could guarantee me more hours so I do not have to worry from month to month and this is something I need to talk to the management about.  There are possible opinions to be a backup driver and get till trained so I need to investigate.  It would be the worst thing ever if I had to find work elsewhere.

I am proud to work at Sainsbury’s in the Groceries online department and I enjoy working hard and am committed to doing a good job.  But do you know the company does not come first, the team I work in does, I will do anything I can for the team and my friends.

To all at work that make me feel welcome and make working at Sainsbury’s a joy a very big thank you.

Here’s to may more excellent day at work.

Until the next time take care.

Si x
